Step 2. The Etsy Shop

We're circling the wagons and think we have a way to kick start efforts to help Fatma.  It's going to take a village.

In an effort to legally, effectively and efficiently raise funds and get them to Fatma, we have created an Etsy Shop.  What will we sell?  Whatever we can find, make or get donated that is hand made or vintage. We're just getting started on ideas and will have to see what comes in, but some great people are already coming on board.

A little goes a long way. Here are some things you can do...

1. Donate one or more items for the Etsy shop.  These could be things you have created or have in your collection.  If you want to donate, please e-mail Barb Hranilovich a jpeg of your item.  If your item sells, she will let you know where to ship it.  You will be asked to assume the cost of shipping for your item(s).

2. Buy stuff.  We'll be posting a wide array of things and it will be changing all the time.  Please consider shopping for gifts or yourself.  We'll try hard to keep prices reasonable, but the less things cost, the harder it will be to raise the considerable sum needed.

3. Spread the word.  Send people here to read Fatma's story and learn how they can help.  We are open to creative and effective ideas for fundraising.

4. Drive friends to the site to purchase items and/or ask them to donate items to sell.

5. Have some sort of fundraiser of your own on any scale...from skipping lunch and donating that day's savings to having an event of some sort.  E-mail Barb if you'd like some ideas.

Thank you for taking the time to read this.  We know there is bottomless need in the world and it's easy to be too overwhelmed to even engage.  May we some day be able to have a party here and all meet this wonderful woman.
